Stillwater MN Wedding Venues // Stillwater Wedding
This Stillwater, MN wedding was an intimate affair, with the couple surrounded by their closest family & friends. David and Debbie were getting married to each other later in life, with their children by their side. Trellis Weddings is one of the best Stillwater wedding venues and there’s a lot of charm to it’s beautiful, lush garden grounds. It has an intimate garden feel to it, with a variety of different enclosed outdoor spaces which contribute to its unique charm. I would highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a ceremony space for Stillwater weddings. With lush garden surroundings, Trellis offers a quaint outdoor ceremony space. It is one of the most magical outdoor Stillwater MN wedding venues indeed.
Outdoor Wedding Venues MN
Minnesota has a wealth of wonderful wedding venues. But of all the Outdoor wedding venues MN, Trellis Weddings is unique with it’s garden charm and magical seclusion. Located in the countryside near Aamodt’s Apple Farm, the grounds of Trellis Events is certainly carefully curated and designed. I made sure to feature many of these unique touches in the photos. From an inspiring forest path entrance to a weeping willow tree looming over the garden area to an open garden backdrop lined by an heirloom white fence, you’ll see this place has tons of character.
You can see the charm of the Trellis Weddings grounds in the ceremony shots below. I especially loved the street lamps placed on the grounds. David & Debbie chose to keep the ceremony quite intimate, inviting only their closest family & friends. However, Trellis has a few options for weddings and can host larger ceremonies, as well.
Stillwater Wedding Venues
There are of course a number of Stillwater Wedding venues to choose from. After the ceremony at Trellis Weddings, guests then reconvened at The Lion’s Tavern near Main Street in downtown Stillwater. I loved the choice of petite deserts that David & Debbie opted for, instead of a cake. These deserts from the wonderful Patisserie 46 all looked very posh and the Reception dinner itself was quite warm & intimate.

After the ceremony, the bride & groom & I walked through downtown Stillwater and towards the river for Golden Hour photos. This was perfectly timed so that we could get some stellar golden hour shots on the river near the Stillwater Bridge. For most weddings I do, the bride and groom will want golden hour photos. It never takes long – maybe fifteen or twenty minutes. And they’re usually some of the best shots of the day, so it’s well worth it.
