Hidden Pond Wedding in Maine
My First Foray as a Destination Wedding Photographer
Shooting Courtney & Mike’s Hidden Pond wedding in Maine was a highlight for me. It was my first time working as a destination wedding photographer and, as you’ll see, at one of the best Maine wedding venues. As I move forward with my business, my main goal is to be a destination wedding photographer. I’ve loved to travel since I was young, and have been to a fair share of beautiful locations in the United States and abroad. This Maine wedding was resplendent with elegant details and a truly intimate luxury setting. It couldn’t have been a better Autumn day. I’m also thrilled that Style Me Pretty featured this wedding online – check it out!
One of the Top Maine Wedding Venues
Hidden Pond Luxury Resort and it’s Rustic Wedding Charm
As one of the best Maine wedding venues, Hidden Pond Luxury Resort has everything one would want from a secluded, woodsy and rustic wedding destination. With small homes rented out all over the venue (and secluded from each other), there’s a sense of peace that permeates the venue. Courtney and Michael’s wedding also happened to be on the most beautiful Autumn day. This was right around the time that the leaves were changing and you can really see it in the pics of this Hidden Pond Resort wedding.
The Anne Barge Wedding Dress & Other Details
Courtney’s Anne Barge wedding dress was one of my favorites. The dress featured intricate ivory design and showcased a timeless elegance. She looked amazing in it. I was especially happy with how the details shots came out below. Diffused sun was used here to illuminate the dress, veil and shoes. One thing that is important to do is to remind brides to bring a nice hanger to the wedding so these sorts of detail shots can be captured. With a plastic hanger, it just doesn’t look that great. Some other details you’ll see here are some wonderful jewelry items from Boston-based M. Flynn.
Fall Wedding Colors
One of the best things about Fall weddings is the colors. Vibrant fiery reds, smoldering orange and bold yellows are seen in the leaves all around. The degree of these vibrant colors really depends on your location choice and what week you plan to marry. I would make sure to look at the weather predictions for the year ahead in your chosen area. Also, you can check online HERE for predictions on the peak times and what colors you’ll see. Clearly, the timing was right for Courtney and Michael’s mid-October Hidden Pond Resort wedding!
Maine is filled with scenic locations, but especially in the quaint township of Kennebunkport. This Kennebunkport wedding maintained a nice secluded feeling, while also not to far from the center of the town itself. For anyone considering a Kennebunkport wedding, I would certainly check out the Hidden Pond resort.
The Hidden Pond Resort Ceremony
The Hidden Pond Resort ceremony happened in a beautiful courtyard right near the gardens. Boston’s own Winston Flowers decorated the ceremony space with exquisite autumn floral creations against a distinctly Autumn backdrop. With a soft overcast sky and an intimate outdoor ceremony space, it was easy to see why Hidden Pond Resort is one of the top outdoor Maine wedding venues.
Rafanelli Events Boston Wedding Decor
As a planner and designer who works for the famed Rafanelli Events, Courtney’s wedding would of course by perfectly crafted and executed. Rafanelli Events has done numerous high-end events and weddings, including Chelsea Clinton’s wedding. Owner Bryan Rafanelli also featured in Martha Steward Wedding and the Martha Stewart Wedding Party. It was such an honor to be able to work for such an esteemed planner. The Rafanelli team produced some stunning autumn tablescapes with a slight antique aesthetic, which you can see below.
